Both protect your paint, but in very different ways. Here is the difference so you can choose what fits your car.
One of the questions we hear most: should I go for ceramic or PPF? The answer depends on what you want protection from.
Ceramic: gloss and easy cleaning
Ceramic is a liquid layer that hardens on top of the paint. It adds deep gloss and makes water and dirt slide off. It guards against UV and stains, but it will not stop deep scratches or stone chips.
PPF: a shield against scratches and chips
PPF is a thick clear film fitted over the paint. It absorbs stone chips and light scratches, which makes it ideal for the front of the car and the panels that take the most hits on the highway.
Which one should you choose?
- Want gloss and easier washing? Ceramic
- Lots of highway driving? Front-end PPF
- Want the best of both? PPF with ceramic on top
